This tea is fresh!. These leaves were actually picked in February 2018 and I was able to drink and take the picture (below) at the end of March.
I’m very surprised how fresh the leaves are, even after the 6th brew in a Gaiwan cup the leaves were so strong and sturdy I did not need to use a screen. It looks like the tea is rolled up with one bud and one leaf on the same stem.

You don’t need a lot of time with this tea. This is my preferred process.
- Water Temperature ~ about 170f or 80C
- Amount of Tea ~ 3 to 4 grams per 100ml.
- Brewing times ~ Start quick wash about 4 seconds, and then about 10 seconds per brew after that. After about 3 or 4 brews lenghten the times acordingly maybe up to 30 seconds.
